spring! time to awake your feelings
Sensory organs collect feelings and build a picture of reality .Moreover, the work of your brain is based on this. As we know from the previous chapter, sensory organs form your attitude to situations, the world around and your position in it. As you can see, while reading this book, you cannot find the primary or secondary zones and organs in your body. Of course, some of them are vitally important, others have smaller functions, but as for importance and significance of the world perception, psychological state and mental health, there are no leading roles or supporting roles.
There are five main ways of perceiving your surrounding:
1. Vision (eyes)
2. The hearing (ears)
3. Flavor (taste receptors, tongue and mouth)
4. The sense of smell (nose)
5. Touch (receptors located on the surface of the skin).
Any malady or disease of the sensory organs shows that a person is dissatisfied with what is happening in their life. He/she has a lot of unresolved issues, conflicts and is trying to find the cause in their environment or is blaming difficult circumstances. If you disrupt the work of sensory organs, the body as if trying to protect from the external problems, hides in the shell of the inner world. There you
lead a simple life and create the illusion of security. As a rule, such lifestyle not only leads to diseases, but also to the accumulation of problems, their multiplication and eventually causes depression or neurosis. A person perceives the world and people around them as enemies or sources of trouble .One more problem including infectious and viral diseases is chronic fatigue which comes from the long lasting unresolved situation. It can be easy to diagnose the problem if you feel that some sensory organs are malfunctioning. For example, if you have problems with your eyesight (deterioration in your eyesight, you suffer from infections or you often injure your eyes), it means that in your life there is a person or a situation that you are trying to avoid and do not want to see. In this case, your brain sends a signal to impair vision since your mind understands the instructions literally. And if this situation is not resolved, it is easier
to ignore the problem rather than experience mental discomfort. The best solution is, of course, to resolve the urgent problem. But if you want to improve your eyesight, you can start doing eye exercises, eyelid massage with your fingers or meditations which are aimed to reduce the internal resistance and adapt to the current situation.
For those, who take criticism to heart, hear it repeatedly or consider it undeserved, the hearing worsens. You may suffer from frequent colds and ear infections, some complications in speech may occur. If you cannot avoid unpleasant situations or unflattering remarks from other people, try to pay a lot of attention to your hearing. Try to keep your head warm, listen to relaxing music or nature sounds,
try not to use headphones, knead the earlobes, the area behind your ears and cartilages frequently. You should also use methods to reduce the level of perception of someone's discontent or abuse. Some of them can be: imagine the person you are talking to is in an aquarium, but you cannot see or hear them clearly. Then, try to develop skills to perceive information only as information without any emotions. Do not take everything said to you as a personal insult. Try to get the message in a flow of criticism. If you cannot find useful information while speaking, delete everything you have heard. In the case where criticism hurts you, you should try to find some
constructive information in it. Sometimes it happens that you can find some useful and valuable advice.
Malfunctions of taste and smell signal the loss of life is enjoyment. Along with this you may experience stiffness in the lower back and pelvis, which, as you remember, are responsible for freedom and joy of life. Such a condition leads to neuroses, insomnia, apathy, and, in rare cases, depression or suicide. If you want to return zest for life, use aromatherapy with an aroma lamp and essential oils. While
having a bath or going to the sauna, also use essential oils. Moreover, you may taste food or drinks with your eyes closed, draw up the lists of happiness, that is, all the things that bring you joy. Perhaps, this is a consequence of experienced stress, so it is necessary to perform methods described in this book with your head, neck, lower back and shoulders. However, if you do not feel relief for a long time, notice sleep and appetite disturbances, maybe it is necessary to consult to a psychologist or a therapist to avoid the situation developing with negative consequences.
The sense of touch is very important involving your skin, nerve endings and receptors. A child discovers this world with the help of the mother's touch. He/she learns about the environment through comm unicating with his/her mother and in the early stages this communication occurs by touch. Later we use hearing, vision, the ability to distinguish tones, colors, images and to speak, but feeling and touching are one of the most important sources of information you get. Problems with feeling (for example, high and low sensitivity of the skin), blood circulation or skin diseases indicate that a person is beginning to disconnect or fence off from the outside world and perceives it as a hostile environment. This is a barrier between the individual and the whole world, the signals can be statements like "leave me alone" or "do not touch me." Skin problems happen in adolescence not only because of hormonal changes and sexual maturing, but because the teenager is against the world and is looking for his/her own identity. Thus, in adulthood disorders and diseases of the skin indicate that a person perceives the world aggressively. From the chapter on the feet and hands you remember that this attitude deprives a person of the energy exchange and receiving possibilities. This negative attitude limits the ability to choose, creates situations where he/she cannot find a way out.
In adolescence such an aggressive attitude or behavior is completely due to internal changes. On the contrary, in adult life it is evidence of internal conflict which results in a rejection of the external world. If you want to reduce internal conflicts, you can use relaxation, meditation, painting (especially for inner problems), as well as the methods of body oriented therapy especially for your back, abdomen and chest. Since the violations in the organs of perception are due to the fact that a person is fencing off from the outside world, experiencing internal stress. In this book you may find very good exercises for your arms, chest, abdomen, waist and back, as
communication, emotions, fears, stereotypes and support can suffer first. To changing this emotional state and solve your problems, work with your feet to regain confidence and stability, and successfully influence the material world again.
